Kenny Paul
Kenny Paul Kenny Paul is an Irish singer from the town of Maghera in Northern Ireland. Maghera is a quiet market town situated approximately 40 miles from Belfast at the foot of the Glen Shane Pass.
After leaving school Kenny worked for a few years on his father's farm. During this time he taught himself to play the guitar and began singing a few of his favourite songs in the local clubs. Word spread quickly about his talent for singing and he soon found himself singing three or four nights a week. Eventually Kenny had so much work in the entertainment scene that he had to give up his farming career to concentrate on the music.
Kenny is now one of the most versitile singers in Ireland and is in great demand to provide entertainment in hotels and clubs, and to provide music for wedding dances. Kenny sings a mixture of country and Irish, middle of the road and sixties music. He tours regularly in England, Scotland and Wales and has performed along with many of Ireland's top bands including Big Tom, Philomena Begly, Susan McCann, John Hogan and Louise Morrisey. He has released 12 albums, 6 of these on CD, and 3 videos. He has appeared on ITV and RTE, and is featured regularly on Downtown Radio, Radio Ulster and other radio stations.
Kenny is a young man with a lovely personality. He has a very relaxed style; a down to earth young man who puts people at their ease, and can often be seen chatting to the fans hours after the show has finished. He has excellent rapport with his audiences, and works tirelessly to make the night a success. His latest album is called "Hit Songs" and is released on the TC label. One of the tracks on the album, "I Wouldn't Have It Any Other Way", recently got to number 13 in the E.M.S. European top 30. Many of today's famous singers have been discovered through the TC label, and this album must be one of the finest which they have released. The vocals are excellent. The backing and harmonies are second to none, and the overall album is one of the most exciting sounds ever produced by an Irish artist.
